Serving as a soft reboot of the series, the game explores the origins of the Assassin Brotherhood as the Hidden Ones and their conflict with the Templar Order, previously known as the Order of the Ancients. Players take on the role of a new modern-day character, Abstergo Industries employee Layla Hassan, who has created her own Animus which she uses to view the story of the Hidden Ones’ co-founders, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa and his wife Aya. The narrative takes place in Egypt during the final years of the Ptolemaic dynasty and follows Bayek and Aya’s quest for revenge against the Order following a personal tragedy.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins brings many changes to the franchise’s gameplay formula, being more akin to an action role-playing game than an action-adventure game like previous installments. Some of the new additions include an improved leveling and gear system, a new “hitbox-based” combat system, and Bayek’s pet eagle Senu, who can be used for reconnaissance and replaces Eagle Vision.

Battlefield 1

The standard edition includes just the core Battlefield 1 experience focusing on combat in World War 1 between 1914-1918.

• Single player Campaign – Play through 6 character-driven War Stories, like the intense tank warfare mission ‘Through Mud and Blood‘. Provides backstory on the global conflict.
• Multiplayer – 10 maps set on the Western Front like the muddy trenches of Passchendaele and snow-laden Forest of Argonne. Supports epic 64 player battles.
• Modes – 6 gameplay modes including all-out Conquest, close quarters TDM and skill-based Operations where teams attack/defend objectives across multiple maps.
• Weapons & Vehicles – WWI arsenal like bolt-action rifles, SMGs, LMGs, shotguns plus armored trucks, biplanes, cavalry and more.

So in the base game you get a diverse sandbox focused on the early WW1 Western Front. Solid for newcomers, but may get repetitive over time.

Advanced Warfare, like the other Call of Duty titles, is presented in a first-person shooter perspective. The game features several significant changes; unlike other installments, Advanced Warfare does not use a traditional heads-up display (HUD); instead, all information is relayed to the player via holographic projections from the weapon equipped.^[4] The general gunplay remains unchanged, apart from new mechanics, such as ‘Exo’ movements. These Exo movements are performed from the Exoskeleton, which allow the player to boost, dash, and sky jump.^[5] The game is the first in the Call of Duty series that allows the player to choose differing types of conventional weaponry; for example, the game features regular conventional firearms, but the player can choose to use laser or directed energy weaponry, both of which have differing attributes.^[6] In addition to Exo movements, the game features different Exo abilities, such as Exo Cloak, which allows players to turn transparent for stealth for a period of time.^[7]

CAMPAIGN

Combat means making choices – different loadouts, different paths through the mission. In addition to the signature, cinematic Call of Duty campaign missions, Modern Warfare III introduces open combat missions that provide more player choice.
